History
Terry Kerr, President, opened his office in Edmond in February, 1977. For over 40 years, the firm is pleased to have provided services, both publicly and privately funded, across the state of Oklahoma and the Texas panhandle. kerr 3 is sensitive to unique designs and well-defined owner use, and is highly experienced with construction processes and schedules that focus on public presence during construction. Also with construction estimates created and updated as a design progresses, kerr 3 has a consistent record of project completion within the budget established during design.
kerr 3 has a diverse client group and a variety of project types including:
- Municipalities with long-range planning needs, municipal service buildings, parks, trails and recreational facilities, both indoor and outdoor.
- School districts engaging in long-range district planning for growth and development of academic and extra-curricular programming, as well as building repairs, ADA issues and code compliance for new and existing facilities.
- Religious facilities whose buildings require upgrading, repurposing, new designs, remodels, and additions which express the organization’s unique message.
- Privately funded business and retail designs that reflect owner vision and goals, sensitive to client and customer access and use.
kerr 3 design group, inc. is a member of the American Institute of Architects and the US Green Building Council. The firm also holds memberships and associate memberships in the OK State School Boards Association, OK Association of School Business Officials, Oklahoma Municipal League Association, and the Edmond Chamber of Commerce. Experienced in meeting LEED Certification requirements, they have a clear understanding of the advantages and costs associated with LEED certification, and can offer guidance in selecting those elements of LEED that best meet the client’s needs, limitations and responsibilities.
